Sun enters Leo
Although we have a Full Moon this week, I chose to concentrate on the fact that the Sun enters Leo because it is much more fun. I have a Cancer Sun and I will look at the upcoming Full Moon as many of the aspects figure in my Solar Return. (My birthday is today.) But first, let’s look at what we can expect when the Sun enters Leo this Friday at 2:30 AM PDT. Leo is the home sign of the Sun, so the Sun functions well here. It is traditionally known as proud and attention-seeking, as well as creative, generous, and confident. Leo is a fixed fire sign so it is also passionate and stubborn. Honestly, I am always depressed during the entire Cancer season, especially on my birthday. I celebrate when the Sun enters Leo each year. We can expect more parties and celebrations of life. Now is the time to advance in life via expressing your unique abilities and flair.
Capricorn Full Moon
Capricorn is the opposite sign to Cancer. Since the Sun is in Cancer now, the Full Moon occurs when the Moon is in the opposite sign of Capricorn. The Capricorn Full Moon is exact at 3:57 PM Tuesday afternoon. Cancer and Capricorn fall on the Cardinal axis. These signs like to initiate projects. Cancer is the sign of the Moon and the family. Saturn, concerned with work and authority, rules Capricorn. Cancer, and the Moon don’t just represent the personal family, it also concerns nationalism. The Moon rules crowds and mindless mass consciousness, or should I say unconsciousness. What the world thinks of us, and the outer appearance of authority, is the domain of Capricorn. This Full Moon includes a square to Uranus, as well as making a Grand Water Trine with Mars and Chiron. The Uranus square is a wild card that will demand change whether you are ready for it or not. The Grand Trine with Mars will bring us the courage and energy to deal with that change. And the trine to Chiron brings the opportunity to transform old wounds. Usually the disruptions of Uranus demand that we deal with old baggage that is holding us back from fully realizing our most authentic self. Remember this when things fall apart.
We have a Capricorn Void Moon on Tuesday following the Full Moon at 3:57 PM until the Moon enters Aquarius at 8:10 PM. Capricorn Void Moon is a good time to review your ambitions. Thursday evening the Aquarius Moon goes Void at 6:56 PM until entering Pisces early the next morning. Aquarius Void Moon is good for catching up on your social media.
