Mercury enters Aquarius
Mercury enters Aquarius at 2:43 PM PST tomorrow afternoon. This is the second time this year that Mercury enters Aquarius due to the recent Mercury Retrograde. We are actually still in the Shadow of the Retrograde, which ends on Sunday. That is because Mercury originally retrograded at 1.03° Aquarius. Aquarius is fixed air. In modern astrology, Aquarius is ruled by rebellious and freedom-loving Uranus. In traditional astrology, Aquarius is ruled by Saturn. This is a paradoxical sign, wanting absolute freedom according to its views, but often demonstrating extreme rigidity in enforcing those views on others. When Mercury enters Aquarius we expect thinking to become more progressive and to embrace innovations and reforms. Now we can get started with all of our big dreams for the New Year.
The Aries Moon ignites the Uranus/Pluto square today. The Moon squared Pluto at 5:03 AM this morning, which I slept through. In fact I slept an hour over my usual time and had to drag myself from bed today. The Moon conjoined Uranus at 6:50 AM, which finally pulled me out of my sleeping nest. Moon/Uranus is impulsive and creative. This should jump-start your day. The Moon forms a beneficial sextile to the Sun at 5:10 PM this afternoon. And finally, the last lunar aspect of the day is a square to Venus. Moon/Venus in square can be quite amorous and over indulgent in the sweets department. I predict many people buying Valentine’s Day chocolates for their Valentine this evening.
