Cancer New Moon 2013
The Moon and the Sun conjoined today at 12:14 AM PST. This picture is not really accurate as the New Moon is totally dark. It is traditionally the time of new beginnings. Let’s take a look at the aspects to this New Moon.
First of all Mercury is retrograde and conjunct this New Moon in moody Cancer, an environment ripe for overly emotional misunderstandings. Throw in Uranus squaring the trio, (quite tightly, less than 4 degrees) and Pluto opposing the trio, (broader, 6 degrees) and we have fertile ground for high drama and dramatic new beginnings gone awry.
Unless you are trying to resurrect something from the past or clear up old misunderstandings, it would be best not to actually begin something new under this influence.
Jupiter has already joined the Saturn/Neptune grand water trine in the sky and Mars is not far behind. More water, more emotion, just think before you act, even if you believe you are being the most sensitive, altruistic, person on earth. Perhaps it is better to meditate and plan at this time rather than taking any action or overreacting.
