Leo New Moon
The Leo New Moon was exact early this morning at 2:46 AM PT at 0.44°. This is the first of two New Moon’s in Leo. The second Leo New Moon occurs on August 21st at 28.53° along with a Solar Eclipse that will be visible across the United States. We have definitely entered Leo season, a time to recommit to the call of our creative spirit and to shine. Mars is conjunct today’s Leo New Moon at 2° and Uranus, at 28.28° Aries, is squaring it. That’s a lot of energy. Remember, the dark side of Leo energy is domineering and vain, with a dictatorial manner. Mars can bring creative fire, but it can also be selfish and narcissistic. And a Uranus square is disruptive, rebellious, and prone to separation, rather than compromise. The second Leo New Moon in August will be trining Uranus and thus less disruptive. Leo is fiery and fixed and likes to bask in the limelight. By all means begin a new creative endeavor, however, keep your ego in check. The dark of the New Moon is the time to plant the seed that will grow in the next two weeks. Just steer clear of selfish individualism.
More in the sky
If you do begin something artistic, then the Venus/Saturn opposition at 7:54 AM tomorrow could help with the practicality to bring it to manifestation. Venus/Saturn can also be cold so be sure not to break up a relationship with all that Uranus volatility, unless it really is time to put it to rest. The same day Mercury trines Uranus at 9:33 AM providing bright ideas and innovative solutions. Tomorrow is the start of Mercury Retrograde’s Shadow. On Tuesday, at 4:41 PM Mercury enters Virgo, one of its home signs. Mercury will be in Virgo until October 17th thanks to the up coming Retrograde. Mercury takes a brief foray back into Leo from August 31st until September 9th. The Sun/Mars conjunction that figures into today’s Leo New Moon is exact on Wednesday at 5:57 PM. Just two difficult Void Moon’s this week, one is in the wee hours of the morning, the other is in effect Thursday morning until 8:37 AM. It’s in Virgo so get a late start on your day or reorganize your living or working space.
